Past Projects
Research at UW
During my undergrad at the University of Wisconsin, I worked in the Fluid Mechanics and Environmental Processes lab under the direction of Dr. Nimish Pujara (Associate Professor, Civil & Environmental Engineering). Initially, I conducted a literature review and created a preliminary MATLAB model to describe the process of reoxygenation of hypoxic coastal marine environments due to gas entrainment by waves breaking.
Later, I worked in collaboration with Dr. Luke Zoet (Assistant Professor, Geosciences) and the UW Surface Processes lab to study the effects of wave erosion on a glacial ablation. This included freezing large blocks of homogeneous ice, placing them in a wave flume in a room held at 0°C, and collecting data to model vertical ice sheet changes due to wave interactions.
